Q: I'm a newbie, I have spent months reading articles, networking with webmasters, asking questions. I have a plan on paper and I am confident in my product. I'm building some TGPs. However I am still missing a name for my site. My question is should I stray away from the obvious: XXXThumbs, SleezyTGP, HornyPics ... and so on? I find that those have been overused and I want something fresh that will stand out!

A: A good domain name always helps. Just the same, the name means nothing unless surfers find you, like your content and buy your products. It’s true that all the good permutations of the word TGP have probably been registered as domain names. That doesn’t mean you can’t come up with something clever and unique. If a relative domain name was that necessary for success, then how do we explain the fortunes of Google, Cozy Frog and Ebay?

I bet that if you think about it, you can come up with a killer domain name for your new TGP. Good luck!
