Ask The Professor

Q: I am about to give up. I've tried every sponsor in the adult Internet and none of them are making me enough money to quit my day job. Is it possible that I'm just not cut out to be an adult webmaster?

A: Frankly, not everyone has the stuff it takes to make it in the adult Internet. Starting and nurturing an Internet company may be somewhat easier/less expensive than doing the same with a brick-and-mortar venture. However, a business is a business and it takes talent to run one successfully.

You say in your letter that you are at least making SOME money from sponsors. You also say you have "tried every sponsor in the adult Internet". This says to me that you have too many sponsors.

My advice is dump all the sponsor programs that are bringing in zero and stick with the ones that are profiting for you. Work as hard as you can to get better sales from the sponsors who are working for you. Good luck :)
