Q: What is a console?

A: Computer terminology is wacky. Some terms can have as many as three different meanings. In this case, a console is probably another term for a pop-up window. What makes it a console is that it usually is coded so that there's no scroll bar or close button on it. A console is also most times much smaller than a regular browser window.
