Adult conventions and gatherings are fun but they also provide information through seminars and discussions about the business. The larger meetings will host several seminars while smaller occasions provide intense discussions in highly personal settings. There are just some things that can’t be worked out through instant messenger chats or long distance phone calls. Go for the fun but stay for the wisdom.

Now that you know why to go, consider how you’ll get there. Are you on a budget? If you’re strapped for cash, there’s no reason to break the bank just to attend some porn convention. You want to have fun when you get there.

You can’t have fun when you know you’ve sacrificed next month’s rent for a lousy seminar. Save some money. Wait for a show that’s located close to you. Make sure that you have enough extra cash so you can buy a drink or a dinner or at least have decent business cards. The big shows charge an entrance fee and you might have to buy your drinks for a smaller one. The biggest factor in the question of how, is money. Money is how you’ll get there. Make sure to have enough of it.

The hardest question is where? Where should you invest your money and time? If you’re a big dog, you’ll probably go to 75% of the shows and gatherings. If you’re a little dog, you might only go to one function a year. If you’re a medium dog, you’ll attend the shows which aid you the most. There’s really no magic answer to the question of where because that answer depends on you.

If you attend all possible shows, you’ll have spent a lot of money. Will the expenditure be worth the benefit? If you never attend a single convention/gathering, you’ll probably be fine. But if you attend at least one event, you might seal that major deal or learn a golden tip. You might make a new friend or begin a valuable partnership. You might just have a damned good time.
