To stress again, a free site does not mean that your page is on a free host. If you build a free site, you will be making a web location where surfers can click from page to page and not pay any fees. An adult free site has free access and free browsing. The free site builder makes their money from the sponsors they advertise on their free porn page. A free site CAN be hosted on a free adult server and that step is recommended for first-time builders, but a free site means free to enter.

Your free site can be any type you want. Your mission is to give your surfers just enough porn to make them want to buy more from your sponsors or keep them coming back to you so you can sell non-porn sponsor services. You don't want the content you feature on your free site to conflict with what you are trying to sell because then you'll just be giving stuff away with nothing to show for your efforts and expenses.

As said, we at Academy recommend that if you want to build a free site and are new to adult webmastering, you put your free site on a free adult host. Just the same, webmasters have free sites on paid hosts and make a very good living. Your particular free site can be hosted anywhere and feature any legal content. How you make it profitable depends on your hard work and sales acumen. Listed below are some of the types of pages you can make into a free site:

Free Porn Site

A free porn site can feature any type of porn you want, but it must not cost the surfer any money to view the content for it to be considered a free site. You could make a smut site that features different galleries of models or one that offers small video clips or both. You could make an adult site that features erotic stories or adult toons. Your free site could offer dirty jokes or even a chat with sexy models. You can take advantage of all the niche types of porn and have your free site specialize in images of your chosen niche.

A free porn site can be anything you want but you must make sure that the content on your free page is enough to make your surfer want more so they will join up with your sponsors. Once again, you can pay to have your free site hosted but like any Internet business, sales depend on large amounts of traffic and traffic equals bandwidth, which means more costs for you. If your free page gets tens of thousands of visits in one day and you don't generate enough sign-up sales from that traffic, you will lose money.

TGP / Galleries

A Thumbnail Gallery Post is one that lists links to updated gallery pages submitted by other webmasters. Surfers go to the TGP to see the dirty pictures on the galleries you have listed. To get galleries for you to list, you will setup some kind of submission form or link for gallery builders. You would then look at each submission to make sure that it is the kind of gallery you want your visitors to see.

TGPs can get an awful lot of traffic. Just about every serious Thumbnail Gallery Post is setup on a paid host. Just like gallery submitters, TGP owners make money from selling the programs of sponsors or their own paysite or service on the TGP site.

A top List is very similar to a TGP in that it has links to pages on other's servers. The difference is that a Top Lists display links to other whole porn sites and not galleries. Top Lists also get those links through the same type of webmaster submission methods used for TGP sites.

Free Adult Portal

A portal site is one that has all sorts of different types of features on it. Yahoo is primarily a search engine, but it is also a portal site because it offers free email, news, and online calendar and shopping section. Portal sites work very well because they have something on them that will appeal to most people.

For instance, a free web mail account will keep a surfer coming back which gives you more opportunity to sell your sponsors to them. The female market is a good one for a portal site. You could make a women's adult portal that offered links to erotic stories, a pic of the day of some cute stud, free web-based email and a message board area. A portal site for men would of course have dirty pictures but could also offer some online games and sports-related news plus a stock ticker.

Just like any other free site, you would want your adult portal page to give away just enough free stuff to get visitors to it, but not so much that they don't want more from your sponsors.

Free sites work well because surfers are more likely to visit a page that costs them nothing. Regular updates of your content and enticing features will keep them coming back to your free site. A lot of online sales are the result of seeing an ad over and over. Gallery builders have just one chance to lure a surfer into buying sponsor members ships. Good free sites get regular visits from surfers and allow you many chances to promote the sponsors that will make you money.
