TGP and Top List Submission

The Top List is much like the link exchange. You apply the appropriate reciprocal link of banner of the Top List onto a prominent place on your free adult page. The Top List then adds yours to theirs. Top Lists get great amounts of traffic and are geared for whole sites, especially free ones. If you send a good amount of traffic to the Top List, you will receive higher placement on their portal-type page.

You will also receive higher placement if your site has a good traffic day in general. One way to make that happen is to submit a few galleries to TGPs as a way to kick-start your traffic engine. TGP galleries are relatively easy to make and including links to your free site is perfectly acceptable in most TGP terms of service. A gallery listing on a few busy TGPs will garner your overall web possibly thousands and thousands of hits. Those will bring visitors to the main page of your free adult site which will then improve your standings with the search engines, counter service portals, banner/link exchanges and Top Lists.

Adult Site Counters

The adult site counter is usually a button-sized graphic image linked on your page with a specific ID/referrer code for your account. The adult counter is designed to be attractive and clickable as this is how the counter provider earns their income.

Adult site counters are free and you trade for them by basically adding a little ad for them to your page in the form of that clickable graphic. Not only do adult counters give you the tools to analyze your traffic and see how you are doing, they also most times will list your site on their large portal for adult pages. These are busy porn hubs on the net and they often will give new accounts a little bit of initial hits by place them on their "What's New" category. They also categorize your sites and whereas you may not reach the top spot on their general straight porn page, you might be on the front page of their Mature page if you have a good traffic day.

Appearing near the top of the adult mega-portals these counters services host is great for any site owner and many try to achieve just that. You can apply for more than one counter for your adult site, but make sure your provider allows this practice.

There are other ways to bring traffic that require monies to be paid or special scripting be applied to your site. Paid listings on search engines and busy adult sites are a more expensive and intensive step and should not be attempted until your try the above safer and easier techniques.

As always, read the terms of service of any program you download or sign up to initiate. Try not to go overboard adding too many trades and banners and counters to your page. Nobody likes a banner farm and you need to make space for your sponsor's ads. Reciprocal links and banners are the trade-off for most of these free marketing tools for your free adult web site.
