Pornstars
Written By Titmowse
Before Jenna Jameson, Ginger Lynn or Seka, there was Linda Lovelace.
Lovely Linda was the star of what is arguably the most famous X-rated film in history, ‘Deep Throat’. Before ‘Deep Throat’ adult movies were filmed bits of sex acts looped in a reel. One had to watch them -by the quarter- in the back of seedy bookstores. ‘Deep Throat’ was different. It had a plot. It also premiered in real movie theaters. ‘Deep Throat’ made millions of dollars and it made Lovelace and international sensation during the seventies. It also paved the way for other X-rated films and opened the door for other Porn Stars like Marilyn Chambers and Gloria Leonard.
During the eighties, the world embraced the VCR. This technical marvel brought porn into people’s homes. Unfortunately, the popularity of video smut created a heightened demand and the plot was sacrificed for the sake of quantity. Fortunately, the mystique of the Porn Star survived.

There are news reporters who have been assigned to the “porn beat” in publications like Wired and the Village Voice.
Porn is big and its stars are legitimate celebrities.
If you want to promote Porn Star sites or content then you’ve chosen a somewhat complicated niche. Copyright violation is a huge issue. One has to be absolutely sure that everything is done in accordance with the wishes of both the Porn Stars and the studios from which they are produced.
A Porn Star like Jenna Jameson knows both her name and her image are worth big money.
A studio like Vivid will protect their content and will use highly paid lawyers to insure that protection. Whether you’re building a fan site, a paysite or are promoting a Porn Star affiliate program, make sure that you’re doing it with permission. In other words, don’t put the name Sylvia Saint in your keyword META tags unless you’ve got Sylvia Saint content and the right to use it.
The best way to be sure you’re following the rules is by going directly to the source. There are several Porn Stars with their own paysites and their own affiliate programs. In addition, there are content producers that create Porn Star content. Some of the content producers are:
