Lesson #13 Expanding Your Paysite Niche

If you've read some of the lessons in our Cozy Academy Nichology Classroom, you've noticed that the different sources from which humans achieve sexual satisfaction are enough to boggle the mind. The dilemma is intensified when the adult webmaster realizes he needs to pick a niche.

Sure, he or she can go the easy way and build a babe site or a softcore site or a kitchen-sink hardcore site. Even those generic types of adult sites still need a linear concept or theme because the adult surfing public needs direction.

The mistake a lot of new paysite owners make is they get too linear. Of course concentrating on a smaller, less attended-to audience will result in better sales ratios than trying to compete with mega forces like babe and basic hardcore sites. That does not mean you have to feature legs-only content simply because your site is called Lascivious Legs. Your leg lover paysite should prominently display images and mention of your leg content, but it should also include mention of other content that might appeal to the leg lover.

That extra content could be the point that sells to your future members. A leg lover might get excited by shoe content or pantyhose content. The interracial content lover will want to see ebony models or venture into Latina territory. The Anime lover might find a thrill peeking at some bubble girl images. Whatever your niche or central theme, offering a few items from another type of porn will be a welcome to suprise to your members and extra sales incentive for your potential members.

Let's consider that imaginary site Lascivious Legs again. Naturally you will present hundreds of images of shapely and sexy leg shots to your surfers. Your site is about legs, but leg love can be complicated. Some men get off to the way a leg flows upwards to a shapely ass. Others get all hard envisioning the way a legs glides downward into a high heel. You'll find men who want their legs covered in fishnet stockings and still more who want to see tanned skin. There will even be a contingent that can't get enough of garters and stocking pictures. Yes, you will include the standard video clips of long-legged models thrusting their gams in front of the camera, but it wouldn't be too bizarre to throw in a couple of blowjob clips.

The most important sexual organ is the brain and it has complicated needs. Don't constrain your niche site to one single type of image. Take an example from the tours of these niche pay sites:

This Anime/Hentai site definitely offers its share of drawn and computer-generated imagery. But a look through the site tour shows they also have live chat, which cannot be performed by cartoon characters, so obviously they have content that does not fall within the toon niche.

This site is basically an online magazine about strippers. It even has a great free stripper search engine so the surfer can locate clubs in their area. When the user tries to view the members-only content, they are asked to pay a fee. This site has a many-paged tour with subsections that are also tour pages and on all of them, there is another niche link to entice the user.

Babes and Cars

This is most definitely a niche site if ever there was one. You will notice though that within the language of their tour they tell not only of naked babes posed among cars and tools, but also of e-zines and voyeur cams.

They do it because it helps to lure in surfers. They do it because sometimes a certain niche has content that's not so easily attainable and they need filler for the site. They do it because paysites these days need to be huge and interesting.

You don't have to have living model pics on an Anime paysite. You don't have to include Asians on your Latina site. You don't have to feature anything you don't want to. But if you come across a gallery of images that you think your customers might like and the price is right, why not test it out and see if your clients ask for more? You might find a whole new way to sell and make money from Internet porn.
