In Defense of Free Stuff!

I’ve written numerous articles on how to make money through the adult Internet without spending a dime. I do this because I can. I know of no other business where one is able to set up shop, sell product and make money without an initial investment.

Then again, that’s not entirely accurate. If a person wants to make it as an adult webmaster, they have to have a computer and an Internet account. Online porn is an online business. So, I give you that. There’s your initial investment. The machine and the connection.

After you buy your machine and your connection you get on the web and your head spins. The net is an amazing place. Your computer is a wondrous piece of hardware. HTML is easy! Paint Shop Pro is freeware! I could make a living doing this! Hey look! Here’s a site that tells me how to make big green in cybersmut! That’s who you are when you come to us at Cozy Academy. We get you all bright and fearless and without a clue.

But that’s not accurate either. Of course you have a clue. Maybe you came to us from the world of programming or marketing. Perhaps you installed phone lines or were once a most excellent customer service representative. You all have a clue. You know that porn is the web’s most successful business model. You know the other stuff you brought with you from your previous life and you know that sex sells. This much you know.

Some of you are a little farther ahead of the game than others. A lot of you found Cozy Academy because you were pretty web savvy. Many of you have a familiarity with HTML and graphics editing software. A few of you come from the mainstream IT sectors. There are even some of you who came from the tangible world of sexual entertainment. These abilities are valuable and will help you with your new venture. Yet even if you possessed all the skills named above, you’d still be at square one on the path to riches through cyber porn.

“You have to spend money to earn money”. This is a well-established rule of business that everyone knows.

“A little knowledge is a dangerous thing”. This is something every veteran adult webmaster has had to learn the hard way.

Yes. It’s a fact.

Eventually you will have to move on past the free stuff. You will have to buy hosting and content. You will have to pay for software and scripts and hardware in order to further your interests. Of course paid hosting is better than free. Of course purchased content is better. Of course it’s better to invest in superior software, hardware and scripts. Of this there is no doubt. We aren’t telling you you’re going to get rich with free hosting and sponsor content. You won’t.
