C-Pimp: Whoa! Finally get my chance at doing this one-on-one with ya! Thanks for being so patient and pulling through on this! I know you've got a tight schedule.

MikeW: Yes I try to stay booked out 3 to 4 months in advance ... that's a nice cushion for me. :-)

C-Pimp: Before we get to your service, can you start by introducing yourself to our readers. Background check, how you first got in and how long you've been designing?

MikeW: Well I first got into this crazy business by doing banners and amateur sites in exchange for traffic back in early '98 ..so I started WyldeSites in mid/late '98 and didn't actually start doing full time design until Jan '99. So I'm not really 'old school' like some guys but I'm certainly not a newbie either .. in that short amount of time I've done well over 500 full paysite designs.

C-Pimp: I have been following your service and work for quite some time and must say that your designs are kick-ass to say the least. You also have a very impressive portfolio, can you tell us a bit about who you've worked with in the past?

MikeW: Well I've done work with most of the major programs out there including AdultRevenueService, TrafficCashGold, SICCash, SilverCash, CyberErotica, IGallery and dozens upon dozens of other sponsors. I've got around 120 various customers in total and of those about 20% provide steady recurring business

C-Pimp: I noticed that many of your paysite designs incorporate the theme of the site into the actual design beautifully. What helps you find your source of inspiration when working on a new project? Anything in particular or does it just come to ya with the flow?

MikeW: Well most of the time I just try to match the 'look' of the site with the name/URL of the site. For instance the babesncars site I recently did for ARS. That name just screamed to have car stuff and hot rods all over it, in addition to the babes. That stands true for most of the sites I make .. I just try to match the look with the name .. simple enough.

C-Pimp: Design work can be very time consuming. How many hours do you put into your service on a weekly basis? Do you do all the design work yourself or is there a team involved?

MikeW: Well I currently do all the work myself. In extreme cases I have farmed out some pieces of projects to other guys, but everything you seen in my portfolio is 100% me. The time I spend on a site obviously varies from project to project, but total hours I spend weekly at my job probably borders on unhealthy LOL. When I first started I used to spend over 110+ hours a week working, now I'm down to a safe and sane 80+ hours/week.

C-Pimp: Do you offer Flash Design services? What are your thoughts on Flash and where it stands in today's online Adult Industry?

MikeW: Well I occasionally have to create something basic in flash for a client, but its very rare that I do full sites or complex interactive designs. Flash is one of those things that requires such dedication to master and unless that's all you do there's no way you can truly take advantage of everything the platform has to offer. Flash has certainly come a long way in recent years and as more and more people have access to hi-bandwidth connections I think that trend will continue. It is a nice way to enhance a traditional site and to add some movement to otherwise static pages. But solely as a means of selling memberships and getting people to sign up for a paysite .. I don't think flash offers any distinctive advantage over traditional design at all. Its my belief that if a surfer is horny and likes the photos that he sees on a site, he'll join it regardless of what type of medium its in. After all this is porn guys, it does tend to sell itself to a certain extent ;-)

C-Pimp: Getting back to your portfolio, any particular sites that you've created that you're most proud of or enjoy on a personal level?

MikeW: Well I'm partial to the ClubJenna.com design I did for Jenna's personal site. I just recently completed a paysite for one of today's very popular new pornstars, BrianaBanks.com. That one came out nice as well. I'm also fond of the design that I did for penthouse pet Aimee Sweet Aimee Sweet.com. I also enjoyed making the AdultMovieStation.com site for ARS .. thats a neat interface design. Took some time to get that to look the way I wanted.

C-Pimp: What the one thing that you feel that sets WyldeSites apart from other adult web designers available to webmasters today?

MikeW: Consistency. No matter what is going on around me, no matter how many sites I make, I very rarely have problems coming up with ideas and new looks to try for my designs. Yet at the same time, my sites maintain that look that has made them a proven formula over the years and why so many companies come back time and time again for more sites.

C-Pimp: Before we rap this up, I gotta ask you to give our up and coming designers a Cozy Design tip, some insight you can provide newbie designers looking to create eye-catching pages!

MikeW: Yeah .. don't copy mine! LOL .. but seriously just be original as you can. Its funny because us designers do lots of different things to get inspired and to get ideas for sites. We listen to music, look at magazines, watch TV, look at other designers work, go without food or water for days at a time, etc LOL.. Oddly enough though I don't look at anyone else's work when I'm trying to come up with an idea. I try to completely clear my head of everything I've done and all the sites I've seen, so I can hopefully come up with something new or at least put a new twist on an old idea or technique.

C-Pimp: Well Mike, that just about closes this one up. I appreciate you taking some time off to give your readers a glimpse into your world.
